Inspector Morse

Hi everyone, and happy new year,
I've just seen the titles to Inpsector Morse - Driven to Distraction, and you won't believe what I saw in the opening credits...

Written by Anthony Minghella (Fine, very good, but...)

Based on the characters created by Alan Dexter

Hang on... ALAN Dexter? ALAN Dexter?!!! Shouldn't that be Colin Dexter?
Now, I know that these titles have been remade, and I know people on this very forum have said that ITV need a spellchecker, but this is ridiculous surely!

Thats nothing, my weekend paper mentioned Inspector Morse was a production of the BBC!

Similarly, my cassette copy of the soundtrack from Inspector Morse, Vol.2 has a Channel 4 logo on it!
