Great pics and slightly eerie, if just looking through old VHS tapes isn't weird - I can't begin to imagine what walking through musty old studios is like! Especially the way things have been left as if something died.

Agreed they look very eerie indeed, like those pictures of Aldwych tube station, wouldn't like to be locked in any of them by meself to be honest.

Well, to be honest I DO believe they would, I mean afterall look at how they treat their past now, TVS is a prime example, Disney own the rights yet will ITV show any interest in them, no.

Remember Carlton took over Central & tried to erase any mention of the Central name so it wouldn't suprise me if they deem stuff to be useless and left it there.

The picture that amazes me most is the one of cup as it seems to carry the 1982 logo yet still remains in 2008!

Fascinating to see Queen Margaret Drive pictures on there. I'd no idea it was such an ornate building. Can't believe they've just left a crate of BAFTAs lying around. Mind you, they make quite good door stops...

What need would they have for sound effects from Bullseye and a Roger Cook voice over? There is no need at all, especially on an obsolete tape format (cart or 1/4 inch)

Why would they take them? Have you ever been through an office move? All kinds of stuff accumulates over many years and unless there's a real need for it in the new building it simply gets thrown away or left behind (and remember there were many years of downsizing of staff and move to smaller premises at Central).

It was just junk at the time - interesting to many of us on this forum now and as bits of untouched TV history - but at the time it was merely junk.

So why would anyone need to fabricate a piece of junk today for the sake of it?

It's so frustrating to see those buildings every day - and not to have got inside! I'd not risk going in though! Demolition is due to start big-time fairly soon too

Pass. Full of asbestos though so god knows how many more years they'll be left dormant before someone decides to redevelop the land.
