Jack Lelains Power Juicer is my personal favourite, followed by the carpet cleaning system
TV
indeed - a new version has appeared recently - instead of the girl off the soap *being amazed* as she unlocks the power of juicing - it is another older lady and jack's wife elaine lelanne.
the new one still has lots of classic clips from the previous infomercial (like "a who-a-who-a-whole apple? wow!") - but shows highlights of a juicing party (has to be seen to be believed) and jack sings at the end.
definitely one of my favourites along with terri and ken's their steam buggy and pat murphy's ab force. only other notable infomercial moment is the woman saying "i felt like i'd won the lottery" after she bought a tv-share-cam.
are americans really that stupid that they fall for these kind of adverts? or do they have limited success, but are sustained through a huge mark-up on prices?

It's so annoying that Freeview doesn't have a proper set of channels to show informercials. All we have is the ones on bid-up.tv (of which I've only seen Amazing Abs with John Abdo and his annoying grinning mouth) and Pat Murphy's ab force on ITVNC.
I think Sky Travel and UK History should be forced to carry these wonderful things on their downtime.

Who is he anyway, I assume he's world famous in america!
I love the way they seem to say that all you need for a healthy diet is juice and it's by-products. When ever I've seen someone with their home made juice it's always looked like it's been dredged up from the Thames!

Indeed, I presume he's a stereotypical american star who appears on those american family shows.
He's very poor at autocue though, looking slightly off camera to read the info.
I agree with the Tuxedo Painting System, notice with infomercials you always get the product and two extra refilks, but wait order now and you'll get this, and there's even more, you get this and that also for this one time only tv offer!.
Food Saver is a classic as well!
