I like wild at heart in the sunday slot. Couldnt itv1 have a sunday/monday drama like waking the dead is on bbc, just an idea
They do sometimes have a 2 part drama with one part on Sunday and one part on Monday, but more recently they have done that on Mon/Tues (like this week) rather than Sun/Monday.
Maybe ITV needs to be a bit brave and try some more new comedy...but give it a few weeks to " bed in " before they move it or write it off. I've not watched Benidorm but it seems to be lasting in the same spot longer than a lot of previous attempts. I'd like to see the Sunday night late comedy brought back.

With Benidorm and Bonkers I'm watching more primetime ITV1 than I have in years. The only thing I watch on BBC1 at the moment is the 10 O'clock news now and again.
These are daring shows by ITV standards, I hope they keep it up - I'm finding them entertaining which is welcome relief from the dreary murder investigation / police shows.
The Jane Austen season is a great start and the new ITV website should be good. I still think they ought to sort out the news output and axe all soaps from weekends.
Personally I'd move the News at Ten Thirty to 11pm with a 5 minute news update at 8.55pm after The Bill or whatever.
What about a programme called 3rd Lane??? A car show. Like Top Gear, but being ITV 1, not as good, and have Trevor McDonut Presenting it with Ben Shepard... Brill...
Considering his well-publicised defection to ITV, Michael Grade's lack of action has been shocking.
In the meantime the daytime schedule goes downhill further; cack like "Inside Emmerdale" which at best is ITV2 material and no children's output - they're handing it to BBC1 on a plate!

And even further downhill with the commissioning of "The Alan Titchmarsh Show".
I said as soon as Paul O'Grady had the guest hosts one would end up with a rival show for ITV.
It does say it's been commissioned for "early afternoon" though - but it's time ITV realised the daytime chat market is full enough already. If they really wanted to make a statement they should be commissioning a late-night chat show to run at 11pm.
Funny that, but in this week's Broadcast, they are saying that audience share for ITV's daytime schedule has increased greatly this year so far compared with last year
Andrew why do you insist on defending the undefendable? ITV needs to improve, period. It can't get much worse than last year, so any modicum of improvement is good but it requires marked improvement across the board.

Hard to see how when they show endless repeats in the afternoons!
I think the Alan Titchmarsh show is for the 12.30pm slot when Loose Women isnt on.

And it's a LONG WAY off.
Why do people insist on constantly slagging them off based on made up stats "they are handing BBC1 the ratings on a plate"?
It's in black and white that since ITV dropped CITV, ratings have more than doubled in the afternoons
