People moan when the same old faces get new TV gigs, but also then moan when someone new comes along and tries to start out. I think Scarlett was a good addition to both Extra Camp and Takeaway (she didn’t really do much on it to be honest!)

Did her C4 reboot of Streetmate get axed? Remember it getting some good reviews, thought she’d have got a second series of that.

Streetmate hasn't been renewed.

Is I'm A Celebrity the last remaining LWT show on air? Been racking my brain and can't think of any others.

Wonder if Scarlett will be bumped off Takeaway when it returns as well in favour of the latest I'm a Celeb in thing, just as Ashley Roberts was before her.

Just a day after you posted this and it appears in the sun online that she has been axed, how weird is that?

Scarlett Moffatt axed from ‘dream job’ on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway

I don't watch Saturday Night Takeaway - or any show in that traditional Saturday night TV style - but I'm pleased that they've got rid of Scarlett Moffatt as I'm hoping this, along with her leaving IAC Extra Camp, is the start of seeing far less of her on TV.

But you don't watch the shows you're complaining she's in anyway, so you won't be seeing any less of her.

I do agree with your follow up post though - she doesn't cut it as a TV presenter, but she is likeable and generally good value as a guest. I'd like to see Mulhern go from Takeaway too now they could use In for a Penny as an excuse to boot him, but considering he has been ousted from BGT that wasn't going to happen. Would be nice though if they changed his role so it was more like the interaction we have seen between the three of them on More Talent, rather than the role he had on SNT. Also think it's time they dumped Ant v Dec or reworked it at least. Think Win the Ads could go too so they could replace it with a Ant v Dec style endgame with two contestants from the audience joining them.

Didn't realise it was considering it's stripped nature - it must have debuted just weeks before the ITV1 rebrand in 2002.

I was going to ask about shows stripped across the week in the days of the London split as it's a relatively new thing in primetime, but then obviously Corrie aired across LWT/Carlton and the likes of Home and Away did as well and I guess Crossroads before it.

Going way off topic here but how did they handle the likes of Blockbusters, which regions would often show at their own pace. Easy enough if just Thames/Carlton showed it, but if LWT wanted to air it on Fridays or indeed the weekend I guess they had to be in sync.

What endcap would the first series actually have had, presumably one of those generic Granada ones that didn’t specify the actual region.

It was an LWT show but I believe it was co-produced with Granada. Actually I think Granada may have been credited during the week and LWT at weekends but I might be misremembering.

An LWT logo in the purple square of the reunion show is anything to go by:

Didn't the purple endcaps last until 2004? Then the big pink G for another two years, before they introduced the ITV Productions brand when they changed the ITV logo.

Was You've Been Framed originally LWT?

EDIT: No Granada.

I believe Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway was originally LWT.

Is YBF still being made anyway? They just seem to keep trotting out the same years old Harry Hill episodes every time I see it.
