I bet Channel 5 are thrilled with Adele’s Jane McDonald love, free publicity for the two TV shows

Radio 1 probably less so.

Wonder if Scarlett will be bumped off Takeaway when it returns as well in favour of the latest I'm a Celeb in thing, just as Ashley Roberts was before her.

Just a day after you posted this and it appears in the sun online that she has been axed, how weird is that?

She left "that management company" so she's being axed from the contracts they gave her.

I don't watch Saturday Night Takeaway - or any show in that traditional Saturday night TV style - but I'm pleased that they've got rid of Scarlett Moffatt as I'm hoping this, along with her leaving IAC Extra Camp, is the start of seeing far less of her on TV.
I know with so many TV channels, and other forms of (social) media, that the standard has been diluted and the level of ability needed has clearly declined, and that she's far from the only one to become famous while possessing seemingly very little ability; but, even with that in mind, I really don't know how she's become quite so omnipresent on the TV.
I get that some maybe like how she's relatable to the general public, or whatever, but even in these times there really should be some level of ability needed to be on TV quite as much as she has been, other than just being likeable or relatable. And, other than those, I just can't see what ability she actually possesses that justifies her rise to fame. Every time I see her she just comes across as a lucky viewer who has won a competition to appear on a TV show for the day, rather than as a talented or professional performer.
I'm not a fan.

I've never got all the hate for Scarlet. She's endearing, warm and naturally funny. I don't think she's terrible on anything she done either. People complain about safe pair of hands hosts like Stephen Mulhern but when somebody slightly left of field emerges there are always those who take an irrational disliking to them.

We’re sick of Reality Stars being thrusted into the world of prime-time TV and becoming instant presenters.

I can't speak for other people who criticise Scarlett Moffatt, but there's no 'hatred' or 'irrational dislike' from me.
My criticisms of her are solely regarding her ability as a TV performer. And, personally, I think she's been very lucky to get the very sudden career that she's had in the last couple of years as I don't think she's got anywhere near enough talent to justify her many appearances on many different TV shows.
Whenever I see her she seems to almost exclusively rely on the 'OMG, I can't believe I'm on here' excited fan role, living out her dreams appearing on shows with people she loves to watch, etc. That might make her likeable and relatable to some, but I prefer to watch stars with genuine talent in their field who clearly possess an ability to a level far higher than members of the public; whereas, to me, Scarlett Moffatt is one of these modern TV personalities who seem to become famous via the likes of reality shows that require no particular talent, and then become established on TV courtesy of regular appearances on the types of shows that don't require them to ever develop any particular talent that justifies or explains their fame (i.e. Famous for being famous).
But that's just my view. I totally get it's each to their own and that there'll be plenty who like her. I just, ability-wise, don't rate her.

I’m sick of the ones who are thoroughly unlikable and look like rabbits in headlights when stuck in front of an autocue, but I don’t think Scarlett falls into that category.

It makes sense for Takeaway to go back to just Ant and Dec plus Stephen anyway, it’ll probably be the hardest show for Ant to return to considering his car crash happened right in the middle of it last time...good to see him a lot happier on IAC this year, physically he had a year off but mentally he probably wasn’t too happy the previous couple of years and it did show on screen

Also the lack of camp fire looks really weird but it is for good reason looking at the wild fires!
