I think Adam's a direct replacement for Joe's daft, third wheel sort of character and Adam's probably the best one from the last few series that fits that mould.

He also does those ITV Daytime competition promos where they get to jet off to various locations.
TBH I think axing Scarlett and Joe was for the best because they were terrible. Joel I think they're trying to build up hence why he's getting this and shows like Singletown and The Masked Singer. I reckon if Roman Kemp gets far enough into the show, he'll be asked to host next year's Extra Camp.

100% agree, Strictly is another example where it is a simple format and even with the changes of presenters, professional dancers and judges it is more or less the same show from 2004.

Don't fully agree with this. There are many shows that decline and get axed when the formats stays the same. Indeed, with the Apprentice – I still enjoy it and watch it year after year, but I long for a few format tweaks here and there, to change the pace and give it a breath of fresh air.

Great to see I’m a Celeb back. I was up in STV-land yesterday but couldn’t avoid ITV with that slide being shown to cover the VT clock.
Agree with the stings though. I know the old ones stuck out for not being in HD but these ones are a bit too ‘cute’! Give me the crocodile and spider any day of the week
