Really good show tonight. It felt like it was going stale in past years but tonight it was as good as ever. Reality TV chiefs ought to take a leaf out of their book and put in a relatively nice bunch with a couple of big characters. Love her or hate her adding Katie is a stroke of genuis, and the new ITV2 format is working very well.

we just sshow the ITV1, but within 3 sec it went to blue STV screen with " normal programmers will resume shortly"

The playout system will play the adverts whenever it's told to by the channel director in London when the appropriate time comes round. TV channels are automated, but not totally automatic!
As the playout is done in Aus then I'm sure it's just a satelitte link though. But as ITV1 are also 2 minutes BEHIND schedule tonight this might also have something to do with it as the UK automated playout system will have scheduled the commercials and Aus won't be ready for it.

I'd have thought in Oz, the fact that the screen goes black but the bug stays would suggest that the fault was with the production in Australia and not the satellite feed
The picture has gone black a couple of times on the ITV2 show but the 'Live' graphic has remained each time. Where is the live graphic put on? Australia or London?
