Victoria Derbyshire did The Real Full Monty on ITV 2 years ago so it's not too out of place. Vernon Kay is a good signing though along with Russell Watson and Ruthie Henshall.

Beverley Callard is very unlikely to be doing it, as she has had major complications from hip surgery and struggling to walk.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think she said on Loose Women the other week that she wouldn't be up for doing it this year, due to these health issues. She said she is hoping to be up to doing her Coronation Street exit scenes early next year.

She did, but that was very much a charity cause with heaps of personal involvement. I just think there’s much more potential on IAC for damaging one’s credibility, and with it, that of BBC News... especially when she’s chowing-down on the Welsh equivalent of a kangaroo sphincter.

I’m guessing she’s raising her profile as she probably thinks she’s on her way out at the BBC

Having had her show axed, she’s now presenting standard hours of news, a situation which probably won’t last forever

I can imagine the outrage when she finds out Vernon Kay is being paid more than her.

So I wonder who will be covering her shifts on the News Channel whilst she's in Oz?

The show may not be in Australia this year, but that point still stands - someone does have to cover her News channel shifts.
