1) The chances of ITV Studios letting another channel to poach a 10m+ rating programme from ITV are zero.
2) Even if ITV Studios was feeling like cutting its own throat, there is an option for ITV to renew with first refusal.
3) Ant & Dec or even Holly & Dec would not come with the deal.
4) The introduction of new titles would have little bearing on a new contract.

A new title sequence is not needed. If it aint broke don't fix it, like The Graham Norton Show's title sequence, has remained virtually the same since 2007. I don't see any big changes to the appearance of the show in 2019.

Do they still have that old CRT telly in the title sequence?

Yes, and a very old laptop (and the robot which also featured in the titles for So Graham Norton)

Never mind all that, he’s clean-shaven!

The robot is certainly clean shaven, but Graham was removed from the titles a long time ago, so it's just kitsch items falling into water now.

Yes, Graham's team have never really bothered to change the titles. Also the set has remained largely unaltered over the past decade. Even when they moved from The London Studios to Television Centre earlier this year, they did not think about refreshing the set.

"Never really bothered"

Am I the only one here who realises how one-dimensional the written word can be? Sad

The set now looks VERY tatty in reality. Surprised it looks still looks as good as it does on screen.

The So Television Production must think it looks fine on camera. The old saying of if it aint broke don't fix it seems to be their mantra. I think they feel, we watch for the guests, music and Graham, and not for the studio set.

Title sequences are also hugely costly to make in the grander scheme of things. When I worked on the show a few years back, there were plans to shoot new HD titles (the current ones are up-res'd from the SD master and have been re-cut to take out a far younger-looking Graham), but these plans were put to bed owing to cost - but mainly the old "if it ain't broke". Much in the same way the theme music has remained the same for a decade and more.

These weren't Wink

Rhona obviously didn't let the camera crew shoot a cheap video of her in her living room like most of the rest.

(And we're back on topic...)

Also, in the early seasons wasn't the name Bushtucker Trial reserved for eating trials, hence the name? I think viewers started referring to all the trials as that so the programme adapted.
