I can't work out whether not having the coming up bit is quite refreshing (given most of us will be watching all the way through anyway), or a bit too much of a sudden stop.

I think it's doing Holly's career the world of good to be presenting a show away from Phil. People have often said in the This Morning thread on the rare occassions she presents with someone else she really does shine, and she has stepped in seemlessly.
I think the trouble with having no coming up bits is they're not really ending each part on a mini-cliff hanger - it is basically crashing out.
