With 2 shows missing this series, it's a shame they couldn't extend the series by 2 days and end it on a Sunday where higher ratings would be expected

It does seem that the first half of the series where the public vote for the trials has finished quite quickly this year

The fact that most shows have only been an hour also means there is actually less coverage this year, which is the opposite of what tends to happen with other reality shows

On the whole though they've always been an hour in the first week (with some random rubbish filler in the 10pm slot), and next week they do seem to be getting a 90-minute slot most nights, bumping Corrie out of the 8.30pm slot.

The ratings are really strong this year, currently averaging 8.2m, up a million on the average at the same time last year

So there's still a lot of life in this reality show, in fact almost all of the flagship reality and talent shows have increased year on year

With one obvious exception, for which Celebrity Big Brother really will be make or break. If it doesn't regain some ground with that, I can't see the main series doing enough to ensure it's future beyond 2010.

I wasn't expecting Kilroy or 'Silksy' to be first out, but I suppose at least he did some trials and wasn't one of those ones that do nothing and leave first and get forgotten about, like Sian Lloyd or Mike Reid

Do we think people's opinion of Kilroy will now change?

Also is people's opinion of Timmy changing from 80s/90s legend to an annoying strange person?

No I always found him the latter.

Unfortunately it was purely political. People hate Kilroy and their was no way he was going to be liked even if he did try and play the grandad in there.

True, my Mum has been watching this more than me (I've only caught snippets) and she really disliked Kilroy before hand but actually grew to like him in I'm A Celeb. Timmy has come across as a bit of an arse & really should just grow up (Tommy Boyd said that they once offered him "grown up" work about 10 years back & he turned it down, dope) as for Van Day, smug git is apt.

Shame he had to go first, but anyway... who will go next do you think?

I though Kilroy would have stayed a bit longer. I think Kilroy might be offered a return to TV, in my opnion. Timmy will be next off I reckon only a matter of time before the mast majority of the voting public have had enough
