So I guess they have to remove celebrity from the title this year?

Most of these aren't even well known enough to qualify as the usual bunch of "has-beens" or "resting actors".

Why don't they stick all reality show hosts in the jungle (including Ant & Dec) - that might be worth watching.

As for this shower......time to get out that VHS tape of paint drying again to fill the long dark evenings for a fortnight. What a pathetic and pointless abuse of the schedule for two weeks.

I have completely lost respect for Gemma Atkinson. Five years ago she had everything going for her - an acclaimed storyline in Hollyoaks which, for a newcomer to acting, she made the part her own and off set was a normal 17-year old who refused to be affected by her fame. Then Hollyoaks turned against its young starlet and turned Lisa into an uncharacteristically assertive, tarty homewrecker.

Hollyoaks over, Gemma could have pursued a straight acting career as her talents in this direction spoke for themselves. Instead, the likes of the Daily Star and their ilk waved their cheque books and Gemma threw her self-respect out the window and surgically mutilated herself to keep in the lads' mags. If Gemma is still "famous" now there are only two reasons for this, so it's somewhat appropriate that she has been picked up by I'm a Nonentity...

Yawn. Just like the cast of "Skins" because you disapprove of what the kids get up to in the story.

I'm sure they would all express the same to you if you'd actually done anything of note.

I don't buy his arguments at all, how can you be blackmailed into doing a TV programme ? If he didn't want to do it he could have just declined.

Why would he allow himself to be interviewed and approached for the show and get to the stage of being flown out there if he had no clue of the concept of the programme. Sounds like he needs a new agent.

But he got a bit of self publicity out of it anyway, without even getting covered in bugs.

Ha! Have you considered it's because Gemma hasn't done anything of note lately, or the rest of them for that matter, is the reason for her doing this show?

SO who have they replaced Malcolm McClaren with?? It is pretty poor when the contestants quit the show before it has already started...

I reckon they'll throw Richard Fairbrass in.

Malcolm McLaren has done what he wanted to do - just like Johnny Rotten except he "loved the jungle!". What's the betting he had no intention of getting covered in bugs and sleeping with snakes? Publicity dear, publicity.

Most of the people in the camp are likely to be hoping for a shot in the arm, career wise, from this show. It's not exactly unexpected.

I just think its a bit "Simon" to talk about "losing respect" for an actress because she has appeared in Maxim in a bikini. Its another example of you imposing your sensibilities on others and feeling sickened that they don't share them.

I doubt she's particularly troubled in any event.

It's fair to say though she has opted for one career path - though whether that's down to choice or circumstances we don't know.


However though just like anyone entering a reality show or talent contest should be fully aware that even the winner is lucky to get anything out of it, surely by now the celebs are aware that fledgling careers aren't going to be revived by shows such as this as anything that comes after is focused on your persona, rather than your talent.

And FHM and Loaded and Nuts...

I don't think anyone sees her as anything but a glamour model.

There need better Celebrity's for next year!
