Should probably be a thread on this for all the general musings over the next three weeks.

Same opening titles and set up as usual, one of those shows that doesn't really look tired and need any changes.

Ant and Dec are on form as ever, but ITV2 has a new format.

I would say that the show needs a new title sequence as of next year. They're on their 9th series now and are looking a bit tired.

Otherwise due to the show's short run over 3 weeks, they can do no wrong. It's on long enough for it to satisfy peoples cravings of it over the next three weeks, yet short enough so people's excitement can build up to it over the course of the year.

Unless it will appear later, which I wouldn't put it past them, I notice they haven't started with Croc Creek/Snake Rock this year.

I gave up on watching it properly years ago and I swear they had the current titles then.

I do think though they've got a good cast this year on paper at least and the sort of thing Celeb BB should be going - it's primarily young, they're not huge stars on the whole but they are all relatively successful in their own field. Even the only one you could dub a "reality star" is arguably the breakout star of that show and "famous" for being such, not for being tabloid trash, whilst the two older stars also have cult appeal and have been at the top of their game relatively recently, rather than having been in hibernation since the 80s.

I do kind of hope though there is some truth in the reports that they're struggling to secure the site for future series as I think moving locations would freshen it up a bit - I guess it would likely move to the African set used by amongst others, the Aussie version.

Also confirmed today Ant and Dec are staying with ITV for at least 3 more years, so I'm a Celeb certainly going nowhere.

You mean the titles have been in used for the past 9 series? I cant remember what the Series 1 - 4 were like.

They should just use the Australian titles for next year.

Actually I've just noticed that I think they still use a part of the series 1 titles today.

If you notice Ant & Dec's opening link when they shout with the echo, the camera pans and an animation is overlaid, which is the same green animation as seen at the end of the Series 1 titles, albeit slowed down.

Here's an example:

Eugh... no. They look naff. The current UK titles look far nicer.

Also, I'm not surprised to see the usual insipid "it's old so therefore it looks tired" comments trotted out again.

This is seemingly the only reality show that is evergreen and has never gotten to the point where people have said it's past its prime. (Which surely would have happened by now considering the usual lifespan of reality shows).

You've missed the titles where a limo dropped into the jungle and all the celebs got out, which they used for a bit.

I'm a celeb is like strictly, exactly the same every year, but everyone loves it and looks forward to it.

And no, those Australian titles are awful, like a cheaper and tackier version of ours.

Just hope it doesn't fall into the "change for the sake of change" or something to "freshen the show up" that TV producers keep doing these days. And often kill a show off in the process.
