I too thought the live trial was far from smooth, although it can't be easy trying to keep order with twelve celebrities being forced to drink abominable things with every other being plopped into offal every couple of minutes.
The Spencer situation is strange. The fact that Ant added "and I'm afraid that's all we can tell you about that" after saying Spencer had chosen to leave only drew attention to the strangeness of the event. Surely, something like "we're afraid Spencer has taken the decision to leave the jungle so we'll be proceeding with only twelve celebrities from now on" would have been less of a suspicious sounding way of putting it.
The fact his exit wasn't shown, he wasn't in today's edit and no celeb has mentioned him, means his exit was outside of the usually rules and stories within the show. Is he even still in the opening titles?

Yes, he was in tonight's titles.
They would keep him in anyway I would have thought,m only like being voted out. The celebrities are still on the titles

Spencer Matthews was kicked out of I'm A Celebrity because he was using steroids and wanted to continue taking them in jungle.
Think they'll bring in a replacement? And if they do, would they remove Spencer from the titles when they add the new celeb?
There's only another two weeks of the programme left. They'll be starting to get rid of people in a matter of days. By the time they find someone else, do all the tests to make sure they're fit and well enough to take part, fly them halfway across the world, and invariably get them to do some kind of overnight wacky challenge once they're in before going into the 'proper' camp, there'll be no point.

I am aware of this, yes, though it doesn't change the fact that I can't see them replacing Spencer. There have hitherto only been three series of a total of fifteen in which more than twelve campmates have concurrently taken part in the show, with the most recent of those being back in 2011. They won't make the effort to add an additonal campmate at this late stage in the competition when there are currently twelve celebrities already in the jungle.
It will come down to ratings I imagine. Not sure how it's doing this year in comparison to the last couple of years but if it's fine they can cope without, but if not getting somebody in at some point in the next week is an option to try and boost figures, even if just for one night.
