Jake Quickenden has got to be the most pointless sign up ever. I mean there are always claims "he/she isn't a celebrity" but he
isn't
a celebrity, he appeared on x factor and got put out that effectively is his story.
There have been some rubbish people as campmates but he has got to be the worse.
At first I thought maybe he's been flown in last night when they heard about Craig, but then I saw that he'd been in Oz for several days - and thus it had nothing to do with either of the departures. Yep, not really a celebrity, and they really are scraping the bottom of the barrel. Worse, they need to find two MORE replacements, as it seems Jake and Edwina were always meant to go in.
Well he's more familiar to ITV viewers than Kendra Wilkinson. 'Celebrity' is very loosely applied on this show (and others) it's usually about getting the right mix of personalties.
They probably won't bother with any more replacements and run with this 10 if they don't have any more stand bys.

Yeah I agree but with Kendra she is in fact famous and for those who venture outwith ITV there's a chance people will now here.
Jake just isn't he is completely scrapping the bottom of the barrel.
I don't like when we have people like Gemma from TOWIE on it personally and if you been watching Michael Buerk summed it up excellently but at least they are in the public eye, Jake was on x factor and in comparison it's like have a Voice contestant on Strictly. I get that all of these shows sometimes feature people who aren't really celebs and I can accept that but I feel we are being cheated here with Jake, at least if you don't watch TOWIE you might have heard of Gemma, if you don't watch x factor you just won't know who he is.
I'm not trying to offend the guy, I'm sure he'll be a nice addition but it isn't called "I'm just a normal bloke... Get me out of here"

Of course Timmy Mallett was always a stand-by in previous series' until he went in in 2008.
I haven't watched X Factor for two series so no idea who Jake Quickiezlist is anyway. Only a matter of time before Ant & Dec have to go in themselves!

Jake was one of the first names linked with it - he's there to fill a role and is probably more familar with ITV viewers than half the original cast. I was going to say the bar to appear on these shows gets lower every year, but then again they had Nell McAndrew on the first series so it was never that high to start with.
I'm guessing they've put those two in earlier than scheduled, they wouldn't usually squeeze it in the same day as the rating trial I wouldn't have thought, plus they usually make more of a deal of it, where they stay a night outside camp first and do some sort of challenge rather than just walking in?
If they don't out in at least 1 more, the middle of the series may start to flag as they'll either have to start vote offs later, or run episodes with no vote off.

It was mentioned at the end of last nights programme that Jake and Edwina are on a secret mission. I imagine that we'll find out what this means tonight.
