So, the trailer for the show "IKEA Drives Me Crazy" is now airing on the BBC. During the advert the BBC TWO logo changes from purple to IKEA corporate colours, then it reverts back just at the very end (just after my second capture).

Looks cheap really, but I guess that's what they were going for.
Just realised it's in the ITV colours... Hmm...

Very unusual for the BBC to do this. Finally a little imagination into promo presentation. Although, it does look quite cheap but I suppose it's only a promo!

What's the show about? Is it to do with the recent stampede in North London when people were getting crushed when a new Ikea store opened?

I think it's one of those kinda "Isn't it a phenomenon?", "Isn't it an institution now?" "Don't we all love it?" "Aren't they clever?" type discussion programmes.

I was surprised at them 'doing' a show about a company like IKEA without it being blatent advertising, but I guess they'll be trying to position it like the endless Marks & Spencer analysis type shows, and the Blood on the Carpet ones.

--EDIT - The Official Blurb:

"Ikea Drives Me Crazy
Mon 28 Mar, 10:30 pm - 11:10 pm 40mins

An irreverent look at our love/hate relationship with the Swedish store. With the new store opening recently in Edmonton, how far were British consumers actually prepared to go to secure a bargain?

Single mum Nicky Taylor and her three kids go on an Ikea shopping spree. On her journey she meets the Ikea obsessed who are chucking out their chintz and going flat-pack mad! Ikea's popularity and success may be based on its' affordable, fashionable design, but it can also be a nightmare of strange names, long queues, missing screws and self inflicted DIY disasters. Have we all been seduced into the cult of Ikea by its marketing magic?"

I'd love to put the first screen shot in the Mocks Forum and see it get ripped apart!

Yet another cheap shot at ITV1. And they haven't even done anything wrong this time.

Don't expect the programme to be completely positive and enthusiastic about Ikea!

So what did everyone think about the program then? I caught the last 10-20 mins and I have to say it was well... wierd...

Old people rocking out to an Ikea song was entertaining yet wierd and it often seemed like a mock documentary with all those Ikea fans and experts giving their views on... a shop Confused

it was one of the most random programs I've seen for a while but some of the points they were making I could quite agree with.

I loved the IKEA song.
