Anyone see that during the Sex and the City film on C4 (it was on in the background Very Happy )? A very brief Ikea advert at the start of a break showing a blue on white analogue clock ticking along for a few seconds with a VO going "Good evening, it's now 10:43" as the clock ticks round. No idea if it was accurate/live generated but has to be the first time in years for a clock on TV.

Here it is for those that missed it, along with possibly the most unconvincing Microsoft advert of the lot.

Just for the record, this advert was repeated on Channel 4+1 an hour later without change, so the clock was out by an hour. Has anyone seen this advert before or since?

It popped up again yesterday evening on Channel 4, can remember the right time but was earlier then the day before.

Look at the top right of the clock. There is some writing and listen out for the Cuckoo

I think the writing just says something like "Copyright Ikea Corporation, S.V.K. 2011" or something similar (and less made-up lol)

Apart from the ones on the breakfast shows and the rolling news channels of course

I think Asa was referring to analogue style clocks with seconds hands like those that used to be shown on analogue terrestrial TV.

I think that they should start to produce these clocks. And every minute it says " Good Day, It's (the time), happy to bed time!" then have that annoying music!!

What about those pips at the start? That could mean it's live. But that would cost a fortune to do a live tv commercial!!!!!

Then again T-mobile did that T5 singing concert live once and that great big dance and that sing along in trafalgur square.

They're in pretty much every footie match on ITV1- well live odds anyway even if the comm isn't - 3 in last night's match alone.
