When strange things happen are you going Round the Twist?

Can't remember what the show was about at all - but I'm sure everyone here of a certain age remembers the theme tune.

Round The Twist is getting a repeat run on Five from Sunday at 11.30am.

"Well have you heard the word about the bird and the spider?"

They just don't make theme tunes like that anymore. All the eps are available on DVD too although personally I'm looking forward to my Maid Marian DVD coming through the post any day now. I can't believe I started watching that when I was only 5!

Don't know how correct this is (they are normally pretty accurate), but http://www.epguides.com/RoundTheTwist/ has the first series listed as going out in 1990, with series two in 1993, series three in 2000 and a fourth series unaired.

I'm pretty sure CBBC screened it not too long ago - I think I remember them spoiling the credits by having callers singing along to the theme tune!

The fourth series aired from the 18th January to 2nd April 2001.

Maid Marian and her Merry Men was also given the "theme tune singalong" treatment when repeated in 2001. Was the last CBBC series repeated before they started cropping everything, though.

I used to fancy Linda Twist.

That was a great show and incredibly weird. It had a sort of nightmarish theme running through it. I used to love the occasional speedy film effects.
