Identz II

Oh no surely it can't have been taken away altogether! I really enjoyed the site! Obviously Jamez has some concern about those who do criticise his site and also the work he put into it! It wouldn't be very nice if it were you who would be on the recieving end of the comments he gets. So think about what you are saying before the damage is done. And in this case it's done the job, and the result - the site closed!

Hopefully Jamez will take some time in thinking over his decision, because I for one and many others really enjoyed all the content of the site!

I think Joe that webmaster respect that the sounds were the result of lots of hard work by myself and James Ison. So they would not appear on any other site without our express permission.

Big Bother *ahem* Brother has his facts all wrong. For those of you that can read (BB obviously cannot), it says quite plainly on the front page of Identz that we will be back very soon. I thought I'd take the site down, as I'm having a massive clearout of all the so-called junk from the server.

The site will be back very soon, with an update! whoohoo!

Jamez has simply said to everyone, 'It's my ball, and I'm going home.'  That's his right but it doesn't stop him looking like a right pillock for doing it.  Jamez appears to be very immature and can't stand anyone expressing an opinion that differs from his.

I've said on a number of occasions that his downloadables are first class but his website design and website management leave a lot to be desired.  Anyone wanting to promote a website will never purely have positive feedback and perhaps this has been the perfect opportunity for James to learn that not everyone loves everything he does.

I hope that James Isonstine brings back his website.  He first brought us these fantastic sounds without the ridiculous website design fiasco that Jamez has brought us over the past few weeks.

The sounds are unfortunately in the public domain now. You have put up mp3 copies of original tracks recorded for and by the BBC you hold no copyright and no 'express permission' is required.

Oh, and Identz is to return? Well, got to keep the thread going I suppose.

Really. So please explain this.

In the chat room tonight you got in such a bad mood you said you were taking it offline for good. Because of all the critics and so on. (I put it sooo lightly)

So. I agree with the Voice of Reason in which I don't usually cause I belive him/her to be the same one as once criticised my own site. And I do get complaints and comments about my site. I keep them to myself. And make improvements and changes following them.

Jamez intended identz to be somewhere you can get the files he manages to obtain, it was not intended to ba an amazing website in its own right.

What you need to learn is that graphix arent everything, and as long as the content is delivered in an understandable and clear way, the site is achieveing what it has set out to do.

As already said, they are already in the public domain

Even then, what could you do if they did pop up elsewhere?

Sue? I'm sure the BBC would love to hear that.

I think you seem to be missing the point somewhat. The files are hardly ever accessable as James has taken his site for a redesign AGAIN! I just wish he'd settle for one design and stick with it.

P.S. Sorry, what are graphix, does one extra keystroke take so much time?

Surely if you re-designing jamez it would be better to leave all the files online in the directories. A redesign doesn't have anything to do with the name of directories on the server???

Beats me? Plus updating all the links??? That is some workload your giving yourself.

the site is down as it changes servers, and in future new designs if needed, will be sorted offline, and i have offered to help out with running identz, as i have some experience in web managment so if Jamez and James agree, i will try maintain the structure of the site.

To be fussy now. You technically are mis-advertising on your site.

I quote: 'Merry Christmas from Identz.co.uk' when clearly going to that domain doesn't work.

However if you had said 'Merry Christmas from 'www.identz.co.uk' ' I would have no complaints.
