very nice design. I think there should be a little variation in the colours around the site on the next update (going from the blue to the black in BBC News looks really nice) but otherwise it is a great new look.
Still liked the original logos mind u.
EDIT - One thing, why don't u set the links on the homepage to fill the whole frame and knock out the www.identz.co.uk from the address bar. Then all the page titles would appear too.
Plus BTinternet does support a web to email CGI script along with a counter and a guestbook. I'll just find it for you.

Granted it's early days yet...but I must say Jamez all the signs are that we're looking at a clone of TV Home here. Don't get me wrong, I am all for more pres sites but when they offer nothing new, there's little point. Yes, there will be similarities between sites but let us get real here...the parallels with TV Home are blatant...right down to the colouring on the BBC WORLD section. And yes, it does get that petty Jamez.

The best example of a new site I've seen in recent times is Robert Williams' TV & Radio Bits. This is the kind of variety we need.
Very much up to yourself Jamez. Personally, I see little point going further down the path you're on here. Much of the material you feature is covered more than adequately elsewhere and in much the same format.
Not to be rude or nasty but I agree with Mike on this one. I would say the vast majority of visitors purely want the sounds only and even then, if they're freely circulating around the BBC as they seem to be - what happens if say, thetvroom.com was given an official CD and put it up?
Would that violate the 'copyright' proceedure in place?
Another thing is the way you act when people make comments of the site, if your not prepared to take criticism then I hope your not looking a job in the design industry, otherwise you might not get very far.
I know what it's like, I've spent hours creating graphics only to be told they're crap, then you find out why, and then you learn.
That's not being nasty, that's real life.
Ah well, moving on!

That sounds like you would like Identz to shut up shop! If most other people feel the same way, then there would be little point in continuing. So far, the response to the site has been fantastic, and today saw Identz's largest hit count since the site started on October 12th!
The only thing that I can see that is similar to TV Home is the blue background to the menu bar. Apart from that the site layout, and style of content is quite different. I was advised by two different people to give the BBC News pages their own theme, mainly because we have such a lot of content to go on these pages.
Nothing new? what about all the videos, wallpapers, images, MP3's etc that have and were planned to go up on site! I know James Ison has been working very hard behind the scenes, and he dosen't get nearly enough credit as he deserves!
Once again, for as many times in a month, I ponder the future of the site. Part of me says 'sod it' and I'll keep all the MP3's, videos, etc to myself. And another part of me says keep going with the site! Another reason I've been pondering the future of the site is that my lack of time to update it. You & Asa obviously have a lot of time on your hands to create such monsters of websites, and I envy you in a way.
But Mike, please remember, running a website is a hobby, not a competition for who has the best design, content etc, as you have done - probably because you're so wrapped up in your own little world, and such trivial are taken so seriously by you, and the vast majority of the other anoraks who lurk on MHP Chat.

Please don't shut Identz. There are a lot of fans of the content of your website, you'll be letting them down if you give in to the negative few of this forum.
Remember all of the people that critisise you are the ones that download everything from your website!

I'm thinking about what they have said. I havne't made a decision, but I am quite upset by the comments by Mike that I'm copying other TV sites! The only content on Identz from another site is the balloon images used by very kind permission of Rob Williams at TV & Radio bits. I take a look on TV Room to find a credits page with a massive list of people who have given content to the site. It leaves me thinking how much of the content is originally by Mike McG. Identz's credits include James Ison & I. There are a couple of people who supply the sounds, who wish to remain anonymous (for obvious reasons)
I was all set for a big update this week, but after some people are just having a go just to look smart, or proclaim their so-called importance on the forum, I think to myself 'Why bother?'

Its no better than tvhome etc.
But what you have is very good and different o TV Home etc.
EG: you have

Features
Downloads
Your Designs
Wallpapers
And Tvhome only Has Videos And Sounds And few features but not Wallpapers/your designs.
