Chris Moyles put on his anorak this morning and played some old ITV idents for some reason.

Listen again at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chrismoyles/runningorder/2005/

Just after 7am there's discussions on the Anglia Knight and Central's cake.

Between 7.30 and 8.00 there's clips of a Central closedown, evening line up and Central Jobfinder

Chris Moyles has never removed his anorak from the days when he used to post on uk.media.radio newsgroup, he just pretends he doesn't have one.

When he did early breakfast about 10 years ago he had a competition called 'throwing sugar lumps at the studio clock' and the jingle he used was the Thames ident - the words fit it perfectly

He's using recordings from TV Ark.

The anorak in me says if he is an true anorak he should have his own recordings sourced NOT from the internet.

He does still have is anorak on - I think he's the only R1 DJ who has sung jingles, has pips at the end of the show and occasionally talks about VCS, minidiscs and CDs on air.

Just on a slightly related note, I think we have a closet anorak at work... our IT helpdesk uses the Anglia music as its hold music

Isn't that just Handel's Water Music though?

There was a classic example of Chris Moyles being a radio anorak this morning at 7.30am.

Georgina Bowman was reading the news instead of Dominic and managed to get all the beds out of sync, so at the end they had to go through them all to get to the right one for the weather!

Other presenters wouldn't have noticed if the weather was read over the news bed!

And of course most people wouldn't know that the "One Road Travel" jingle is very similar to the real Radio 1 travel jingle used in the late 60's based on "Drive my car" by the Beatles

Where can we find that clip from the 60's? would be great to hear it and compare.
