BBC TWO Nations now have Regional 'Zones'.

What if, BBC TWO Regions or 'macro-regions' ever got a specific zone of programmes....

Maybe 2N or 2Y for the Leeds service?

And what programmes could the zone feature:

Look North Again
Christa Ackroyd presents a look back over the last 7 days of regional news around the region

The Peter Levy Show
The popular radio show comes to TV, Featuring celebrity guests, games and Paul Hudson

Any other ideas?

No point really- BBC2 England is on all Digital (in england anyway), even on DTT and Digi Cable where regional services could exist!

BBC TWO is becoming National not regional like BBC ONE

2W could easily extend to 2NI and 2S for scotland and Northern Ireland it would probably be the same style as 2W, execpt a different colour than the green.

I know, but maybe in the future (Year 2007?!), The BBC will increase the amount of regional programming provided, In a special zone, maybe on BBC ONE or BBC THREE, FOUR etc

BBC FOUR - Network

wow - i never heard about this before?
BBC ONE - regional - as in BBC ONE Midlands all the time - or BBC ONE Scotland (ie Nations) all the time?
BBC TWO - so does that mean theyre phasing out BBC TWO Wales /Scotland/NI etc.? - what will happen to gaelic programmes, and does it mean eventually that the london announcer will be doing all announcements all the time on 2?
BBC THREE/FOUR - is that network in the sense of the itv network - or the sense of 1 common output?

and where does the super region type things mentioned a while ago to be trialed in Hull? - where do they fit in

oh and on this thread's subject - it would be BBC 2M (broadcast acrross east & west midlands)-
the stump with nick owen
weekly cricket programme about county cricket in the region, recorded at different cricket grounds each week (only on during the season)
sports central with alan towers in the west, and nick thatcher in the east
sunday night analysis of the weekend's football results and a wednesday night edition reporting on all sports
sorted! with ed doolan from bbc radio wm
prercorded weekly consumer show - revealing scams, and offering information etc.
in times gone by with carl chinn from radio wm
series about the recent and distant history of the midlands - a different town each week

thats a few from the top of my head - im sure it would have a viable future with more potential viewers than scotland and wales combined - but the bbc wont

Yep your spot on with BBC 1, but BBC 2 will be national, ie split down into Nations. Be careful linking the sense of network with 3/4 to ITV, because they are famously regional, so 3/4, will be a network output, ie same output across the network.
