Ideal World

Ideal World appears to have been having major problems this evening... According to Shoppingtelly forums they've been on and off air since around 8pm.... and they now have a yellow on blue caption stating "There is a fault. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible" (with a female voice repeating the same sentence).

I've seen the caption before on the Sky channels on Freeview... it looks like an uplink fault, as they've just tried starting programmes again but the picture was very jumpy.... so nothing serious like the fire that took them off air a few years back.

Create & Craft (their sister channel) is reportedly off air too.

Oooh, just one minute after me. Sod it, i've got rid of my thread.

Earlier they had a very rushed slide on black with white text saying "We are experiencing technical difficulties. We hope to bring you..." but they returned. Now i'm seeing, as you say, text with a female voice.

No idea what's happening though.

EDIT: The live feed on their website is displaying the earlier caption with the black background.

They appear to be broadcasting through their website OK now... but still getting the caption on my Freeview box.

It's back on my Freeview but the picture is still stuttering. I feel another caption coming along...

You know what happened the last time they had technical difficulties...
Their studios got burnt down!

But now their recorded items seem very glitchy and stuttery at the moment.

Who on earth watches Ideal World?

In fact, they're selling some watches on there at the moment.

Wasn't that the channel that was on The Apprentice that time?
