"The Mirror" reported on Friday Richard & Judy were offered a blank check to switch back to ITV and take the 5 slot. They turned it down however as -contrary to what "insiders" keep saying - they're happy with their new set-up at CH4. Chris Evans has apparently also been approached - he's already turned it down once before though.
I think they should try an imported soap at 5pm followed by a quiz at 5.30pm.
As you say all too often there's quite a lot of soap on ITV1 as it is. Adding 2 and a half hours extra per week isn't going to help, imported or not.
Yes there is quite a lot of soap in PEAK time. They need to reduce the peak time soaps to a maximum of 3 episodes a week each and try an imported soap at 5pm. That way there would be a nicer balance.
My other late afternoon schedule would look like.....
1700 Shortland Street
1730 Jeopardy, Lingo, Winner Takes All, Supermarket Sweep, Win, Lose or Draw and Keynotes, Temptation (new version of Sale Of The Century - as per Australian version)
Gameshows such as The Price Is Right, Family Fortunes, The Pyramid Game, Bullseye, Wheel Of Fortune, The Krypton Factor, Play Your Cards Right, Strike It Rich, Lucky Numbers should be the staple diet of Primetime (1900 to 2200) schedule
Richard Arnold, tacky "showbiz" type presenter from GMTV. A poor man's Dale Winton.
did he do showbizz firday show ?
if so he need shot!
I say give dale winton the slot!
623058, I appreciate the fact you say in your signature you put most of your text through a spell checker, however I feel I need to offer you the following advice, you should put all of your posts through a spell checker, or at least press the preview button and read through what you have typed.
I say this not because I want to cause an argument, its just plain good manners to think about what you have typed and make sure what you are typing is spelt correctly and makes sense. There are several posts from you in the last 24 hours that are littered with spelling mistakes or do not make sense. It makes it difficult for other forum users to read what you are saying when greeted with text that makes no sense and is spelt wrong.
I also consider the fact that the forum accepts people with different abilities and that we must be patient (or at least I seem to remember reading it on here somewhere) but there has to be a certain level of understanding that this works both ways and the posts should be up to standard and legible.
