Am i the only person who's
NEVER
watched tv on Christmas Day? I was always told it's rude to watch tv when you've got guest's/family round at anytime of the year, but on Christmas Day it's a definite no go. I find it really sad that families cant find anything else to do together on Christmas Day other then sit down and watch bloody Coronation Street. What i find even sadder is people creating fantasy 24hr Christmas Day TV schedules.
What is this nonsense?I'm sure i watched some of the Christmas Day 99' SM:tv.Anyway,we're not all royle families. We don't sit round the TV all day at Christmas!MY FAMILY PLAYS BOARD GAMES AT CHRISTMAS BUT WE WATCH THE TV ASWELL!And we are not saddos for making up schedules for Christmas Day.
If all the channels worked together on Christmas Day, this is what my ideal line-up would be...
0600 GMTV @ Christmas
0800 The X-Factor Does Christmas
1000 News; Weather; Regional News and Weather
1005 Christmas Morning with Fern and Phil

Right - so you cut GMTV's airtime by 85 mins for no logical reason at all, to put a peaktime programme on in the early morning?

3 programmes with broadly similar formats in a row, followed by another 5 min news update, which given you also want regional news and weather means actual news would take around 2 mins of the 5 min slot.

10 mins of Corrie Street and Enders performing 1 song - the point being? And 40 mins for a Children in need update? How fast do you think the money is counted and distributed since November?

Right - Film in the early afternoon is upto now the only real good programming choice. You've then put in a Christmas special of a programme that currently isn't being aired - and worse, allowed 15 mins to collate the results Then inexplicably followed it with an virtual identkit singing programme, the main body of the programme which was on at 8am, a slot where there are considerably fewer viewers around than 6pm in the evening..

No Emmerdale? And why not just schedule your 2 episodes back to back instead of 30 mins apart breaking continuity flow?

Yes, well. Given that a small proportion of ticket sales of Chitty.. for January will be given as presents, it's not very fair to show the entire musical on Christmas Day is it?
