In 2002,UK Gold got lifestyle idents but only for the evening.The 2nd fireworks were there for the rest of the day and UK Gold 2 had the original ones. Could anyone do this? ITV1 could have edited the hearts generic for ITV2 and the BBC1 dancers could have been evening only.
So if old idents are good could new idents be evening only or edited for their other channels if they've got any?
I believe the suggestion is for ITV1 to retain its current idents and for ITV2/3 to use older packages such as the hearts.
Might actually make sense for ITV3 since a lot of the stuff they're showing will have the crappy credits sequences to fit into the hearts era ECP
Most of the programming ITV3 shows is from before the Hearts Era.
Even if it was from that era, they always replace the end credits to fit in with the current design (unless it is an insignificant show airing in the middle of the night).
Oh, and those credit sequences weren't crappy - they were times better than what we have now.
Thinking about it,they should have the hearts idents on ITV2 with the ITV2 logo and ITV3 could edit the local idents from whoever made the next show.So the LWT 1992 ident would have the IT*/ logo replaced with the [i] [t] [v] [3] logo.
Maybe the BBC could do this aswell.Put the 1997 CBBC animations on the CBBC Channel! Or at least some of them.For people who don't like BBC Three's idents they could edit a few baloons,1991 2's,1991 1's or all three!
