Same on Telewest Broadband Ch 870 . Adam Freeman, Elisa Portelli and John Hammond and others with an "interactive auction channel" ...

I take it that's not the same person as BBC Weather presenter John Hammond?

He's not, this John Hammond was on bid-up.tv for quite some time.

iBuy launched today. Is it me or has it got a rather 'Auction World' look about it!
The fonts used are very similar I thought, could just be me.

Do we know who's behind this channel then ? Has AuctionWorld.tv risen phoenix like ? It certainly has that kind of feel. Adam Freeman (ex bid-up, auction world) is on this morning, and Andy Sheldon I think is voicing the promos.

Currently flogging a "Thomas Carter" watch, ever heard of them ? No doubt exclusive to iBuy

Nothing to do with Auction World thank god. It's an HSN (Home Shopping Network) franchise.

There are a few similarities i.e. Same Gucci bags, same huge tool set, same studios etc. but they are from the trusted HSN network.

It's not a HSN franchise, it is owned by their parent company. They are using Teddington Studios. Unlike HSN in the States, iBuy is an Auction channel. The German shopping channel Home Shopping Europe is also owned by HSN's parent company.
