I wish to ask if anyone knows where or whom may still hold copies of IBA report from the 1970s?

I suspect that documents relating to TV from the IBA will now be in the hands of the BFI, having passed through the ITC library

Do you mean the Annual Report books?

I have 1970 to 1973 and 1975 to 1979, though '70, '71 and'72 are ITA not IBA. Either somebody must have borrowed 1974 and not returned it or possibly there wasn't one that year, as I appear to have a gap on my shelf.

I also have '65, '66 and '69 (ITA) and '80 to '88 inclusive (IBA).

I have double check, and its in fact the IBA ( saying that the ITA and IBA were the same really bar the addition of new department? )

Its to do with the Independent Television Authority report: Reactions to Sesame Street in Britain 1971 . The report was commissioned by the ITA in association with the National Council for Educational Technology and three ITV companies, and had a profound impact on how television companies did produce pre school tv shows. Its seems no copy is held in the British library, Nor is any other ITA/IBA Reports which there must be many off.

The IBA (later ITC) used to have an excellent library but I don't know what happened to it when OFCOM took over. You could ask them if they still have any copies.

There are other copyright libraries in the UK - might be worth contacting them as they may have held copies that the British Library decided not to hold. Cambridge University Library is one I think.

The ITC library was taken over by the BFI:
