Border it seems did not do ILR slides either.

Well no, that's because there was not an ILR station in the Border region, until 1990, by then Border were 24/7

YTV had a pre-recorded promo listing all the local radio stations, and voiced by Redvers Kyle over a music bed. They tended to use this as a filler at any time of the day (they tended not to use long or unscripted continuity links, such as line ups, and of course they didn't use IVC).

Would any other ITV region have had the IBA Radio slides, during the 1970s, if they had ILR stations?

Did Tyne Tees have anything ? They had two ILR stations on their patch in the 70s, that 80 to 90% of their region could receive. Did Ulster promote Downtown ?

Other ITV regions only had relatively small pockets of their areas with ILR.

Westward, Plymouth Sound,
Southern, Radio Victory (Pompey) Radio 210 (Reading)
Anglia, Radio Orwell (Ipswich)
HTV, Swansea Sound

Grampian and Border nothing

That's about it I think for the 70s, the 80s saw a large expansion of ILR

A clip posted earlier in the thread shows Anglia promoting Chiltern Radio - which appears to have been based in Luton and Bedford?

Last October the BBC put a rather nice audio/visual montage on their website
to celebrate 40 years of commercial radio

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-24427961

Some of the stations connected very quickly with their audiences, and rapidly
became authoritative news and information services in their areas, compare
to today and the disastrous pathetic shambles that most local TV is (so far)
