Just flicked over from Puffin's Pla(i)ce for a second and caught the end of a report on Westcountry Live's lunchtime programme about Ian, so it may well be repeated at 6pm.

Can I suggest someone has their video capturing equipment on standby in case anyone misses it?

Quite a nice obit piece on Westcountry as the last item at lunchtime.

In what must be a political departure for Westcountry, they even included Mr Honeybun in the archive shots.

And a brief mention on Spotlight, with an up-to-date black and white photo of him looking quite old.

The Westcountry piece was a re-edit since lunchtime with a lot more from Judy Spiers, recorded at the BBC.

Can't leave the thread without mentioning the excellent interaction between Ian Stirling and the stuffed rabbit Gus Honeybun. You'd occasionaly hear who ever was er... controlling Gus in fits of giggles under the desk.

Found this clip of Gus Honeybun from TV Ark... brings back so many memories for me, it includes a brief appearance from Ian Stirling.

I know, fusionlad....

I'm nearly 31, and have been down here since 1985. I remember back to the old Galleon days as my Grandparents used to have a holiday home down here (I lived in Bristol then) and seeing Gus on there.

It all seems like it never happened...so surreal...... you know what I mean? Like it was a dream of my childhood?

That was what ITV was all about. Made people remember the great things......

How many 11 year olds these days will remember Big Brother 6 when they're 31? Enough said.

Ian, Rest in Peace my friend....

Don't start me off.

My Fowey and Polruan days go back to "This is Westward Television on channels nine and twelve".

That sounds lovely. I'm disappointed that I'm in India at the moment and wasn't able to see it broadcast.
