I am interested in TV Adverts more

I like going on TV Ark. Now there's loads of Great TV adverts on there which are very nostalgic and I love it. The question I want to ask is, an Old TWIX 1977 advert looked rather yellow, even though I'm sure it kind of looked like it turned yellow over the years, but surely that advert was not used much?

How can a film discolour slightly , and I mean only slight, and it' was not used much?

Film degrades if not stored correctly. However, I looked at the clip in question, and it looks as though at least part of the 'golden' over-saturated look is intentional.

The clip on TV Ark may have been from archived videotape rather than film. I'm sure all of the ads on the pages come from a recent compilation of classic commercials. The captures themselves are good quality.

So in answer to your question, I don't know.

I agree. Don't get me wrong I like the advert, I like seeing how different things were. You can see a different world in a TV Advert alone. I have noticed that some adverts they did show on TV-Ark are missing e.g. Diet Coca Cola.

I'm not sure 1977 was all that different, but a Twix was larger and the Beano cost 5p.

I found an old Scottish Widows ad on tape the other day from 1987 (pre-Amanda Lamb). Featured people dressed in various decade costumes from Edwardian to 20's, 60's and present day which featured a yuppie on his mobile!

I've got some real classic 80's stuff from titles to adverts on VHS which I'm really hoping to put onto DVDs soon as the tapes won't last forever.

Don't worry about it now anyway, I thought this forum was about TV not TV Idents. I do apologise now and I am quitting this forum.

Why are you quitting, it's called "TV Forum", it's not just about idents, but about TV in general, with a heavy bias on idents.

And after all, an ident is really just an advert for a TV station.

I found some old tapes for free the other day, some cracking 80's adverts + pres on them - i've uploaded them to the mhp pp.

Jesus H Christ!! Another pointless thread started by a barely literate child. I know i fuel the argument by posting but it's just so frustrating. Surely there should be a minimum age for joining this forum?

It's not pointless, as you can see a conversation is formed from it, which as far as I can see is connected with TV which this forum is about.
