I hate living in the Granada region

God, Granada is really rubbish. Well, it looks rubbish, anyway. All other regions that I have seen make me green with envy, because they all have a strong identity and an even stronger theme. Take, for example, Tyne Tees. All of their graphics, for news, weather etc, all match. And they look good.

We with Granada get a mis-match of all rubbish graphics. Both the news and weather graphics are laughable. They even used Yorkshire's dark blue spinning chevron theme (minus the chevron and with the Granada logo, obviously) for a while.

For crying out loud, Granada own most of ITV, and seem to put most of their effort into their other regions. Why can't they spend some on us for once? Granada Tonight went stale ages ago, and simply doesn't look like a regional news program.

Any other Granada viewers share my views?

Yeah they do! That's the one thing I like about Granada! Thanks for reminding me of that, it's really cheered me up.

Glad I cheered you up, maybe you should move over the pennines and you can be reunited with that dark blue spinning chevron theme. Don't know why YTV tried to copy the generic spinning hearts theme with the chevron its just so dull.

heh heh - you havent seen much of Grampian TV then, now THATS the worst itv region there is! - its so behind the times is hasent even opted for the itv corporate look! <shudder>

You think that's bad live in the Carlton Weekday (London) area where the hilarious Alista Stewert presents London Tonight. At least London Tonight on LWT has some saine presenters. Howvere the news presentation is quite good.

Phil, I agree, the news gfx are really bad. But we don't even get the decent idents ne more, just lines, daytime and normal

Tyne Tees regional logo definitely does not match the generic ITV logo(the one used before networked programmes!)

I suggest moving then.... if you need cheering up, move to Central, with their coffee table newsdesk, or perhaps Central East with their fantastic 'disco' music... all they need is flashing lights...

Mike Morris, god he needs sacking! I live in YTV area, and the regional programmes are PANTS! well, at least square eyes, we don't have to watch depressing Tonight for a couple of months!
