Well it's the BBC isn't it!
The BBC and Sky are not exactly mates. The fact that since Sky News has been around the BBC have made far far far more errors and have had far more problems than Sky has obviously bypassed them.
I have met Gyles on a number of occasions, he was my local MP.
He is a total idiot (I would use something much worse if I wasn't quite as dignified [!])
I am sure he only went on Sky so that he could get promotion for that crappy film, and then he decided to go on the BBC for election night, idiot.
I'll guess he won't be on Sky for a while then... that is of course providing that Sky don't find Sam Chisholm and get him to go round and batter the crap out of him.
(This would actually have happened had this been the 1992 election - Chisholm was the director of Sky and cared passionately about everything on it, he would have killed GB)
I actually think that Gyles is a very witty man, I used to love it when he wore those extravagant jumpers on TV-AM and Countdown, the man's a genious. He also has a large collection of teddy bears. CheshireC will be pleased to find out that Gyles will be co-host on Sky's exclusive coverage of the World Knitting Championships in July.
I'll make a note to avoid all coverage of that.
I hate Gyles (the fact I live in Chester and for 6 successive years he ruined this city has not bearing on my opinion).

Oh, how I knew you were going to say that.
SkyNews failed to say in his post, that they took the piss out of the BBC moment with Portillo and Paxman. So don't say it was 100% one sided attack!
Cheers, Asa
(Here in the interest not of defending the Beeb merely explaining that HIGNFY can be impartial - to an extent!)
Ok fine.
But the fact about the Sky and BBC feud is true, there can be no denying that.
I didn't see the programme and only went off what I was told.

That Paxman moment was great. He echoed his interview with Tone on Monday when he said to Portillo: 'I ask the questions, you answer them!'

Is Gyles Brandreth gay?
If not then I'm surprised, telling all the male persons on the show how attractive they were, and even how attractive he was, comparing himself to new Tory, Boris Jonnson.
He was calling we respected people such as former BBC Reporter turned MP Martin Bell a tosser, along with other people - I have one message for GB :
GYLES BRANDRETH - YOU ARE THE BIGGEST, UGLIEST, MOST UNFUNNY F***ING TOSSER EVER TO SHOW YOUR QUEER LITTLE FACE ON MY TV!!!

Did you hear about the BBC and C5? Reported was that in 1998 Ray Stubbs (the presenter) and the producer ripped down boards saying 'BBC viewers...Liverpool on 5 now' Some reference to a game on C5 airing the same time as a match showing on the Beeb. The reason it was brought up around now was because the BBC wrote to that C5 woman (Dawn Airey?) politely asking for the 5 logo boards around the pitch to be taken down during the England v Greece match. She said no!

I have never posted on this board before, but the above message will ensure that i never do. I am horrified by the nasty and homophobic content and disappointed that the moderator has allowed this message to remain unedited. I moderate a message board myself and understand the responsability it entails. The integrity of the board must be maintained, and i hope this is abberrant.
You are welcome to your attidudes about gay people. How very small of you.
