Hugh Edwards The Best???

I like most, mainly Peter Coe, Lyse Doucet, Anna Ford and Moira Stuart - and Sian Williams!Philip Hayton and the 10 o'clock news readers are good presenters. Bill Turnbull is the best on News 24 - I don't like Matthew Amroliwala and Jane Hill.
By the way it is spelt George ALAGIAH.

My favourite Regional News presenters are Nigel Jay (North West Today) and Martin Henfield (North West Tonight).

News24 would be a lot better if that pair (Hill and Amroliwala) were removed from the channel.

My top five newsreaders are:
1. RACHEL McTAVISH - ITN
2. LEYLA DAYBELGE - ITN
3. ALISON BELL - ITN again
4. GORDON BURNS - not ITN, but NWTonight
5. KIRSTY YOUNG - ITV

You'll all disagree I imagine, but I think that ITN's presenters are the best. I quite like Sian Williams though.

I dont like Leyla or Alison but all of the others are very good, perhaps not Kirsty though.
American anchors are a pain in the neck.
I think Peter Jennings is perhaps the only one who has an ounce of sanity.
Dan Rather and Tom Brokaw seem to wince whenever the words 'Black youth' 'Single mother and 'Gay' are introduced to the script, really annoys me.

My favourite are Sian Williams, Moira Stuart, Fiona Bruce and Nicholas Witchell.
I also like Gwennan Edwards, Chris Lowe and Lucy Hockings.
By the way my favourite N24 weather presenter is Alex Deakin.

Yeah Alex is the best weather presenter on there at the momet, he should do the network weather.

But no-one can beat Dan Corbett. (who has left now)

Michael Buerk is the best - always neatly dressed, knows what he is talking about and you can understand him really easily. my most hated news reader is Darren Jordan - he was reading the news bulletins yesterday and, as usual, when he read his headlines they always slipped over the thunderclaps and into the next refrain. it is inexcusable and makes the news look unprofessional - plus i know that they rehearse them 'cause huw edwards said so in his documentary on the site!!

Also I have a question:  at the end of the news at 630 before the regional news, Huw turns round and talks to somebody as the camera's fading out - does anyone know who he talks to?

or rather he PRETENDS to talk to the weather presenter...I've only seen Huw Edwards on a RealMedia feed, but from what I can see he's a pretty good presenter...Stephen Cole is the best BBC presenter I've seen though...weather presenters, it'll have to be Lisa Burke, on Sky News...anyone know her?

I don't get sky unfortunately so I don't know Lisa Burke, but my favourite weather presenter is Paul Hudson from look north - he's such a cheeky little chappie! and I just love the banter between him and the other presenters!
