My favourite BBC presenter would have to be Bill Turnbill from BBC News 24, He is always so funny and brightens up my afternoon. From BBC1 it would have to be Michael Burke or Peter Sisons.Does anyone elsae think George Alligahia(spelt wrong no doubt) talks too fast, if you dont know what I mean try repeating him reading the news and you will soon get lost.

But he is very funny, it is a shame he is on in the afternoon in some ways, because I see less of him, but when he is presenting Today he is even more funny than ever before.
Just a shame he will be retiring in a few years I suppose.

Cheshirec you do have a point he is funny and very good at his job. Yes i do sometimes watch sky news. I like sky news at ten. it is a very good news program. better than the bbc ten o clock news. I wish bob friend was still on at night and not at lunchtime.

Hmmm - I thought the point of a newsreader, was in-fact to read the news to the nation, not be a comedy genious.
Somehow I can't quite see Trevor McDonald doing a 10 minute stand-up comic slot, on that little stage next to the desk, after the 20 minute News at Ten!

Oh for heavens sake!
He is like Fred Dineage for example.
Serious when it is required and hilarious when not.
He doesn't stand there and read the news in front of an audience who clap at the end of every report, just slips in very witty and amusing comments that make watching him and his co-anchor very amusing and interesting, as well as getting the news at the same time.
He is way way more funny than Bill Turnbull, who in comparison looks like he needs prozac.
Laugh for a change!
