I have set this thread for the other HTV region - ITV1 in the west as we have a thread for HTV Wales.

Anyway I was looking at HTV West's regional programmes for the next week

Sunday - Week in Week Out = 30 mins
Wed - Currie Night - 60 mins
Thurs - Art at Work, Sugar and Spice = 60 mins

And thats about it as on Friday im sure they are screening programmes which are not local in the regional slot like Storm Warning etc.

A few new progammes in their regional line-up though btw wasnt Week in Week out the title of a BBC Wales programme?

Ah, so you're the ONE that watches HTV programming!

I always seem to miss the regional junctions on ITV1 in the West. What does the logo look like? Is it the ITV1 logo and then just In the West written below it, like in the other regional idents?

Yes thats right Chris J. I think they have Jenny Hull and Richard Lyddon who are presenters of HTV News as the people in the local celeb idents.

Chris I was wondering are you able to pick up HTV West through Sky digital or do you get it cos you live in the Cardiff area - I live in the Swansea area but I get it cos its on my cable box - but unfortunately I can only pick up that region and HTV Wales of course unlike Sky where you get all of them.

Hahahahahahahahaha ... ROTFPML!

Local celebs?

The irony in that statement! How can they be celebs if no-one watches them!

I live in Scotland and gather the output of HTV West is available to me using SKY. Could members of this forum please ensure that I NEVER discover what I need to do in order to recieve it.

Your co-operation in this matter is appreciated.

You don't want to watch them.

Surely the last time you did, and needed hospital treatment after the "Laughalotus Histrecialious" disease got a hold of you, is warning enough!

The difficulty HTV has is that its transmission area is not 'defined' enough. Other regions can say 'London' or 'the Midlands', 'Yorkshire' or 'Northern Ireland'.
The 'West' isn't a recognised region. It's just the northern West Country- the South West political region. Its population isn't big compared to London or central England. Having HTV as a name associates it with Wales.
Most of Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Somerset are on overlaps, leaving the hub around Bristol.
I've never heard anyone call this area 'the West'- it's either a part of the 'South West' or a part of the 'West Country'.
