I gave up on HTV West weather when Gill (I'm awful, but Daddy's important) Impey did it.
There was a woman with enormous, errrrr, how do I put this, nipples, doing it recently, but I didn't watch the forecast detail or the name caption for some reason!
Could that have been Joanna? Don't know.

That's a bit cruel, Phil, the bit about last night's Evening Post. Surely they use this morning's Western Daily Press to be 'fast, accurate and up-to-date'.
Do you know who'll be presenting the weather from Jan 1st, for Wales at least? Someone said Martyn, Sian, etc; but that'd give a heck of a pre-record workload and I find it hard to believe.
Have you done any shifts at Northam since HTV West got added to their list? I've not been back since it became Meridian. In fact, the last time I was in, the Late Night Late set was still in Pres A, so that dates me.
And you're quite right, I won't mention pointy bits ever again!

Nick, the presentation for HTV west comes from Meridian in Southampton as does the continuity. This has been the case since January 28th 2000.
The weather comes from Birmingham, the source of the 6 o'clock news is the previous evening's edition of the Evening Post.
Had I known Gill Impey's dad was important I would have been nice to her.

Nick, I've never been to Meridian to do continuity, I can't think for the life of me why. HTV News is made by a team of highly motivated professionals as two rather large gentlemen with baseball bats have just reminded me. As far as the weather is concerned, I know nothing. No doubt I'll find out on the 1st.
