HTV Wales - New Idents!

Yes, but who said we're getting generic idents? Anyway, they won't be designing the new idents anyway, they'll be doing things like trailers and that. As we all very much know, ITV is not just one company, so a new set of generic idents across the network is extremely unlikely. I'd place my bet on regional ones though.

Yeah, good point, English and Pockett, still annoy me, maybe generic accross the Granada network? Obviously Carlton will be sepearte and UTV and SMG will be staying indpendant.

Has ne one else noticed that the announcers still seem to be getting used to these new idents!

Most of the ones I've seen the announcer talks quite a way into the titles of the coming show!

The made 2 mistakes on the very first new ident, tonight they have made another they made another on the launch day... so yes they are getting used to them!!

did anyone know what happened to the begginning of htv wales news at 18:00 wednesday....it appeared that no-one was in the studio and then about 30 seconds later everyone mysteriously appeared and they went on reading the news!

are these bulletins pre-recorded then?

No, it was probably just the headlines.

Midlands Today once forgot to opt out and joined the programme at the last headline and the presenters continued oblivious to the failed opt out. That was because the headlines were recorded and they couldn't say anything! Obviously!

No, I think ITV Digital launches on 11 July, replacing ONdigital, I don't think that this conicides with the rebranding of ITV to ITV1, that would be too quick.  I think its more likely that we will see the change in the autumn.  But I could be wrong.
I think ITV1 launches on 11th August - that's when ITV SPort Channel launches.
