HTV Christmas ident

Thats what happened to me, right click on the box and copy the address into the address bar of your browser.

Right this years HTV Xmas idents are exactly the same as the Carlton ones that have been used for the previous two years!

The only difference is that the star 'flash' turns into a heart and merges into the V exactly like the current idents - and of course the HTV logo sits in the middle of the screen.

These havent been seen in HTV land before and so HTV may be the only station in the uk that has actually had new xmas idents every year?

Also what is the ident count upto for HTV this year - they seem to have changed on a monthly basis this last couple of months - wonder if there are new 2002 idents coming?

5  Hearts with lines with west website url
6  Carlton with ITV logo and wales url
7  Carlton with ITV logo and west url
8  Carlton with ITV1 logo and wales url
9  Carlton with ITV1 logo and west url
10 Carlton with ITV logo and ITV.COM url

And here are all the Carlton ident changes (Dates are approximate)

September 1999-New Carlton idents introduced
September 1999-Carlton logo,website text and itv logo made bigger
May 2000-Carlton website text at bottom given animation-it apperars into view,sparkiling
November 2000-Carlton website changed to www.carlton.com/tv instead of www.carlton.com
August 2001-ITV logo changed to ITV1
October 2001-website logo changed to animated 'itv.com' logo.

Yes, but the 11 HTV idents are all from ONE year!

ITV really do give themselves alot of work with generic idents. Most people don't even take notice of itv.com anyway. What is the point in all this faffing around, the channel region would do me with a seperate identity!

I didn't add the the different filmed versions, I only counted individual sets of idents.
