well they still look to be in the same studio with same desk at midnight... surely if they had to move the desk they would have been somewhere else (sky centre roof maybe!!! ) all night.

Maybe they have two temporary desks and the other one is ready to move into at sunrise or something?!

Or perhaps even 1am!!!
I think Sky said it will be 6am, there will probably be a change that WE will notice but other than that I don't think Sky will be willing to reveal too much.

Slightly off topic, but look at this. Sky Centre from the air! I presume they have superimposed the Sky logo as they have with the Tesco one!!

There is actually giant blue lettering on top of Sky Centre.
Just a note, Sky News is not in the same 'Centre' as Sky Sports, Sky One, etc etc.
Sky News has its own building but they are all linked together.
Sky Sports is nice though.

Well, I assume the studio move has taken place, and the stunning differences are............ astons in a slightly different font, that don't fit up against the DOG properly (presumably the new 'state of the art' graphics hardware in action), and very dodgy mixing with the CSO screen (lots of close-up shots of the presenter with the wide angle shot of the newsroom).

Hang on - just noticed that, as I speak, the font on the astons has changed back to the original, and they fit properly again. Wow!

Hang on again - looks like they've changed back to the weird aston! Looks like they've now reverted to the original for live link-ups etc, but can't do anything about pre-prepared reports.

Can you imagine some engineer with a big spanner and a wrench hitting equipment right now

Whereabouts in Studio 2 is the temporary desk then?
Is it actually in the soft area? I.e. the area where the new desk etc will be?
I've not seen much of Sky today, but was about at 6am to see if anything drastic happened.
(It didn't).

Just for your information, Sky News Active are still using the pre-May 2001 astons.
