I agree. I think BBC News 24 should have a 9-12 instead of a 9-1.

Ohh err!

It appears a war of words has broken out between Sky News Online and ITN Online...

Sky News:

'Headline News from Sky News - Witness the event'
'Sky News : First for breaking news'

ITN:

'ITN.co.uk First for breaking and headline news'

Anyone notice anything too similar?
It's a bit silly, Sky had both these slogans for a while now, and Witness the Event has been around for ages.
Think of something original ITN!

Talking of websites, I see News Online are - as well as the TV campaign - doing as poster one too.

Spotted about three in Bristol Temple Meads station on the way home today!

the BBC News Online advert is clever, but i've only seen one variation and it goes on for ages!!

It seems most companies are getting in the act of advertising their websites. Guardian MG did a massive campaign, rather good it was too.

I think that sky have got so fed upwith there tempoary faclities, that we are going to see the new studio earlier. Perhaps august the 1st or even the first date, july 28th. Heres hoping!!!

I don't think so.
They have no reason to switch back now, and the presenters aren't exactly looking depressed!
They will want to get this relaunch right, they aren't going to rush into it.
They are going to be doing a lot of rehearsing with the new studio etc so they must have plnety of things planned.
If Sky have said they will be moving into studio 2 and releasing the new graphics/set on September the 3rdthen that is when they are going to do it.

It's the summer when most people in news organisations will take their holiday entitlement since it's silly season.

Kay Burley was back today after 5 weeks off - the question is were her eyes 'debagged'? Apparerently she had large bags underneath her eyes, which seem to have disappeared.

Yeah but what should we look out for on July 28th

Nothing special will happen, will it?

They are just moving their temporary set back to Studio 2 aren't they. Or is there something else happening that I don't know about?

Well you will certainly notice that something has changed but I doubt Sky will be wanting to reveal anything drastic until they have EVERYTHING finished.
There might be a few minor cosmetic changes to the temporary studios but i'd say that's all you should expect.

The newsroom shot behind the presenters is staying until the relaunch on the 3rd Sept so I wouldn't expect there would be that many obvious changes.

Hmm...I tuned in earlier, probably about 11.00ish, and things seemed slightly different. The shot of the presenter seemed much closer than normal, but that could be due to the blue wavey screen behind them instead of the 'newsroom'.

And a new graphic for the weather had changed a bit too. Sorry, I can't describe it any more than that.

The newsroom shot behind the presenters will remain until september 3rd? Does this mean that we are going to get something like the previous news at ten background?
