How are they going to do it?

I'm not sure how much they will use it though.
I expect the weather may be done from the wall, it would make a lot of sense, and certainly make it more interesting.

I can only think of a few times when they have really needed to use the chromakey before for main news. That was the fuel protests and the foot and mouth thing.

Has anyone actually seen any hint of the tv listings for sky news for the september relaunch

Perhaps they want to start in the new studio before september 2nd. Perhaps august the 1st, would explain the severe presenter abscence there has been.

That's what I was thinking! Maybe the building work is ahead of schedule... Wishful thinking, I know, but I live in hope...

Can anyone tell me, what is going to happen to Sky News. I've heard of the new set, but will there be new graphics, new idents, new DOG's?

Right, let's clear up everything we know about this relaunch

New Studios
New logo
New graphics
New Sky News Active
New DOG
New videowall

Apparently they are redesigning the astons again, to fit in the new studios. I'm not sure whether this is true or not.
So basically all of the current on-screen graphics are to be redesigned (again). That is if the rumours are to be believed.

We have been told it is to totally relaunch on the 3rd of September.

I think that is basically all we know.
I would certainly expect revised idents, they will obviously have to be altered to fit the new logo.
New music will almost certainly be introduced, i.e. a more jazzy style for Sunrise... and a more serious tone for News At Ten.

Do we know anything else or is that it?

I still want to know what the desk is going to be like!

The only thing I hope is that Sky News have the initiative to introduce a 9am-12pm shift.
The Sunrise programme is too long at the moment, it should finish at 9.
Then a new shift for 9am-12pm.
Makes more sense.
