It will star Ben Miller, Chris Martin, Letty Butler, Tom Bell, Eleanor Lawrence, Jason Forbes and Susan Wokoma. Guest actors will include Alexander Armstrong, Marcus Garvey and David Armand.

I wonder if it will go in the same direction as Horrible Histories. It might do as Horrible Science will have the same director as Horrible Histories.

It sounds like it's going in exactly the same direction as Horrible Histories (no bad thing), which should be no surprise as it's also based on a series of Scholastic books (though not by the same author).

Each episode has a central scientific theme (Gruesome Guts, Vicious Veg, Bulging Brains, Chemical Chaos etc)

Well done to CITV for finally noticing the success of Horrible Histories after six years Wink

Everyone seems to forget that CITV broadcast the original, animated series of Horrible Histories, which I not only remember watching at home but also in school.

Not particularly related, but that reminds me of being tasked with rewinding the How We Used To Live tapes to the right point before we went into the Video Room at junior school. I distinctly remember making sure that I got the Yorkshire Television frontcap in. This was three years before I joined TV Forum, so I was definitely doing this off my own bat.

Now I'm reminded of this:

Classic, if a bit bleak at the end.

The show I remember the most from primary school is Cat's Eyes, which I think was only a couple of years old at the time but looked like something from the 80s. Maybe it was just deterioration from how many times the tape had been played!

CITV must have increased their budget recently. A few years ago they were hardly originating content at all, relying on repeats and imports. But now things have changed. I have to admit though, this is one show I would have expected to be on CBBC, I wonder why it's on CITV instead? It is a spin-off from Horrible Histories after all.
