I think the titles themselves are lovely, but the picture quality is quite bad. They could do with being remade in to HD.

There are plenty of reasons - keeping the old titles helps mask repeats being slotted into the schedule, it costs less to leave them as they are than to remake them, and they are a classic set of titles - I doubt a remake would be anywhere near as good as the original titles.
There's no reason to keep the intro through 2015...

Coca Cola has had more or less the same logo for over 150 years, Levis has had the same logo (the batwing with Levis on it) for many many years, Wrangler has had the same two logos for over 50 years, and Asda has had the same logo for over 30 years. Simply, they work, and no need to change them. Same reason here as the BBC keeping the same logo sicne 1997 - it works well, and is recognisable.

The theme tunes good, but the titles are horrid. They seem to be the same horrible style as the old Click and Through The Keyhole style graphics. Look very 90s.

Asda are refreshing their logo this year. But that's for another forum

They may seem somewhat retro now, but it's also worth noting that a set of titles filmed in that style would have been fairly expensive to make - the budgets don't exist now for such elaborate titles on a daytime show. Nineteen series is perhaps pushing the boundaries of "getting your money's worth", and it's a shame they're not crisper for HD, but I doubt they've got the money to change them to anything better.

If they were going to change them, they had a good opportunity with the addition of Dion Dublin to the presenting team. They didn't change them then, so don't expect a change any time soon.

The existing wordmark is staying intact. All they're doing is incorporating part of the Walmart logo.

Is ASDA owned by Walmart?
Does Homes Under the Hammer deserves to be shown on BBC 1, since I don't.

Well, that's that then, no more Homes Under the Hammer on BBC One people, Matthew has spoken! I hear they're scrambling to reprint next week's Radio Times in light of your decision...
It's a highly successful show that's been running for twelve years now, and is repeated not only on BBC One weekdays but also weekends, and digital channels like Home. The format (and indeed, the title sequence) has hardly changed, and is presumably cheap enough to make for a daytime show. I'd say that's enough criteria for a show to keep its slot on BBC One.
