Well, last year's Athens coverage was pretty much 24/7 on Seven. Gosh, 2008 seems such a long way away. Confused

Of course, once we catch up properly it's possible that Home & Away will air on both Seven and Five the same day through the time difference (with 7pm in Oz being 9am here.)

That would be quite cool, but I don't know if Five would be allowed to have copies of the episodes before they were shown on Seven.

It would be good if Five ran the show say exactly a week or two behind Oz, and preserved the same natural breaks (ie. a break at the end of each season). They could even take an 'Olympic' break if necessary to avoid catch-up.

Did RTE not go episode ahead of OZ at one stage?

Apparently so, back in 2000. I guess it depends on what agreement/contract the station has with the distributor. I mean, if a major storyline is playing, I doubt Channel Seven would want international viewers to see it before the local audience did.

I dont think the Australian public would care.

No, but Seven would.

And you lucky buggers in Ireland will be seeing the Olympic Cliffhanger tonight!

Actually didn't RTE get slapped by Seven for going ahead by one episode?

No idea though i can remember RTE showing the same episode twice, was before the 6:30 episode became the repeat.
