BUMP!

A great episode tonight, and featuring one of my favourite songs, 'Rock n Roll's MIne' by Aussie country/folk band The Tulips.

When was the last time you saw it? That would be a help!

Titles last changed in August 2004. There's been a few revisions, the next will take place at the end of March when Arrow Noah dies.

Just 4 weeks now until the Olympic Cliffhanger - it doesn't seem like yesterday we were talking about it when it aired in Oz last August!

Which seems to make us only about 7 months behind. We're catching up quite quickly.

I count 6-and-a-half months when the 2005 season begins.

At the start of these seasons airing, we have been/will be...
2000: Started 15 months behind when picked up in July 2001*
2001: 13 months behind
2002: 11.5 months behind
2003: 10 months behind
2004: 8.5 months behind*
2005: 6.5 months behind
2006: 5 months behind
2007: 3.5 months behind
2008: 2 months behind
2009: In sync with Oz, or two weeks behind if no Olympic break in 2008

Normally it's a six week catchup, with the exception of * years (2000 and 2004) - these seasons took an extra two weeks off for the Olympics (Five are four weeks away from this point in 2004 as previously stated) - thus meaning a two-month catchup.

Not quite James.

When Five took over I think it was about 13.5 months behind; at the start of the 2001 we were 11.5 months behind; etc.

2004 season premiere aired on 23 August, actually 7.5 months behind the Aussie air date of 11January.

Olympic return will play on 28 March (Aus TX 30 August 2004), making us exactly 7 months behind by this stage.

2005 premiere is due to air on 27 June this year (Aus TX 10 Jan), so we'll only be 5.5 months behind then.

So we'll 'catch up' before 2009!

Aye, this year we're making an 8-week catchup (as opposed to the usual 6) due to the season being two weeks shorter through the Olympics.

I wonder if they're going to pull the show for Bejing 2008 Olympics? They've only started the Olympic pauses since Sydney 2000 (Mudslide) and Athens 2004 (Arrow Noah dies ) so I'm guessing so as the time difference will involve evening events.

Soooo... I'm guessing

2005 - 5.5 months
2006 - 4 months < but possible Aussie suspension for Seven coverage of World Cup?
2007 - 2.5 months
2008 - 1 month

Atfer 2008 Five will require a minmum two-week break - four if there is an Olympic break.

And of course there's always the glimmer of hope Five might roll some double episodes out! Very Happy
