Yeah, I noticed that also, the brand new OPENING ttiles. Why have five not bought the new CLOSING titles? They are still using the old season's one's from last year.

Strangely, the scrolling titles now show a copyright caption dated 2003, but the '7 Productions' endcap still says 2002! I have seen episodes from Oz from April this year, and they have new closing titles with no 'pictures' down the side, just a blue screen with fishes swimming on and off! The '7 productions' endcap has been changed by then too. So we should see a change on Five within the next couple of months.

The Oz closing titles are normally squashed up as an ECP takes up most of the screen, trailing a different series, or more recently Bec Cartwright (forgive me if thats not her right name) is promoting her new single and album, and all this totally drowns out the closing theme!

I've also seen the new HDD version, very reminiscent of modern-day Brookside, and it does take some getting used to.

H&A started a couple of weeks before ratings season kicked off this year, and so the new 2003 production caption, didn't appear for a couple of weeks after, because it was in the new graphics style Seven launched when ratings started. The production caption was changed again at the beginning of September, when Seven was relaunched.

The ECP's were dumped in August, and haven't been seen anywhere since then, so H&A's credits are nice and clean again now.

I have an episode on tape - from 7 Perth (I think it is from September or October) which ends with Bec Cartwright's song and her promoting the new single - was that just a one-off? The storyline involved Nick learning his court case was brough forward which caused a problem with his career plans.

No it wasn't a one-off. Seven used that ECP with Bec Cartwright for about 3 or 4 weeks. It was to promote her single that was released at the time. There haven't been any ECP's seen since.

I spoke too soon lol. The ECP mad a comeback tonight on Home and Away. Looked a lot better though. Was to advertise the new H&A DVD, book, and CD which have just been released here in Oz. The end credits have actually been re-made using just half of the screen (the promo takes up the other half).

Well, we got Scott Hunter (aka 'mysterious man on horse riding through waves - and ooo, will he and Dani get together?' ) added to the main titles, and the new 2003 end titles today.

I wonder how Channel Five will disguise that, unless the overseas version has different credits. I also think the current Five titles differ to those when these eps were shown in Oz as the Aussie version has the a website address at the end of the scrolling credits.
