I would love to see the Episode,

Quite a lot of old characters are coming back in the episode which is nice to see.

Including the ghost of Ailsa again? Laughing

Should be worth a watch though, Home and Away is one of those programmes that I'd like to watch, but never end up doing so. Pretty much like a lot of what's on five.

Had a look on both five's site and the official site but can't see anything about the episode you mention.

Well you're pushing it a bit with episode 5000 - as there's still 1956 episodes to go in Oz until episode 5000!

Episode 4000 on the other hand will air over here on 23rd December - with 4001, in which a much loved character dies, airing on Boxing Day.

Yep tons of the old characters return, not Ailsa though.

Or if you can't wait that long you can download episode 4000 in the Multimedia section of the biggest and most in depth H&A site around Back to the Bay

No point looking on the crappy Official site while BTTB is here! Wink

What excuse are they using to bring them back this time?

Must admit the last time (not that long ago) they bought back old characters for the boat disaster it was brilliant, and got me back into Home and Away!

The other favourite Aussie soap, Neighbours, will reach 5,000 episodes in mid 2006. Strewth! Laughing

It's Alf's 60th birthday!

Returnees include: Chloe Richards, Celia Stewart, Donald Fisher, Barbara Stewart/Fisher, Pippa Fletcher, Sam Marshall, Mitch McColl, Sarah Thompson, Lance Smart, Sophie Simpson, Blake Dean and Will Smith

One of them ends up dead in the next episode unfortunately!

Interesting selection. Donald has popped back once or twice already. Pippa turns up sometimes when Sally has a major storyline (e.g. one of her weddings Smile ), Will's made more than the odd reappearance, Lance turns up more often than not. Sam, Celia, Blake and Sophie have been back for storylines since 'leaving'. So very few of these characters are making a unique return.

And of course the actor who plays Mitch is one of the regular directors for the series now.

The one I was looking forward to was Barbara, Alf's other sister - I'd heard so much about her yet don't remember seeing her - she came back in the mid-late nineties to try and kill her ex husband Donald but it was a different actress. Her return was a bit disappointing though - she only had about 2 lines - not even a look between her and Don!

Sarah's return was the worse - she does not utter one line! Seems such a waste! We just see her come in and hug Alf

Yep the death was very shocking and I was sad it was that particular person - but the aftermath provides a very emotional storyline, the return of an evil baddie - and the exit of another character which I was pleased about!

Even more exciting is that the murderer lives in the Bay - and it's someone currently on the UK credits (although it isn't the Stalker!) which ultimately leads to their exit storyline.

Also in February 2006 Ella Scott Lynch will be taking over Rebecca Cartwright as Hayley.

I believe that the dead person's ex-other half turns up too, along with other half's mum! There's also a big custody battle for a little one... look out for some fantastic stuff from Morag.

Ella is no Bec, but she's not too bad
