Quite a weird episode on Five last night.
Has anyone noticed there's quite a strong pro-Christian theme running through H&A at the moment - the suggestion that Annie "losing her faith" is a bad thing (or maybe she's actually just decided that it's not true - she wouldn't be the first!), and also the very strong "going upstairs" references in the Tom / Sally sequences. They didn't mention Heaven by name but they may as well have.
Also when talking about the episodes on Five Life a day before they happen on Five - could people use the spolier tags please?

To be honest, I interpret Home and Away to have more of a spiritual awareness than a specifically Christian one. The 'Sally dying' episode had no reference to a 'God' or to salvation as such - more the inference that the human soul continues to exist on a different plane, not in 'heaven' as such. Notice that Tom was in the Fletcher's kitchen, not standing on a cloud somewhere.
Just my understanding though.
There have been numerous references and storylines regarding what some class as the 'supernatural' - Meg, Ken and Noah have all appeared previously as 'spirits'.
